PSLC Pilot Scheme for New PSLG Programmes

Building on the excellent response received last Spring Semester and the successful implementation of 10 new PSLG programmes across UL, we are pleased to announce that our Piloting scheme is now open for the coming academic semester.

Expressions of Interest (EoI) are now invited for the Spring Semester - Academic Year 2014/5 from all interested faculty members, teaching staff and their departments who are interested in initiating new PSLG programmes for their module/course/department, as per follows:

  • The scheme will operate on a first come first served basis, and will target initiating an equal number of new PSLG programmes in each of the four colleges of UL at the rate of one programme per college per academic semester.
  • Under the scheme, the PSLC will provide selected parties with the necessary assistance and advice on how to set-up, deliver, administer, monitor, evaluate and maintain a new PSLG programme. This will include training of supervising staff and student leaders/tutors.
  • All expressions of interest must be submitted using this online form.
  • Staff and/or a department who seeks to avail of this piloting scheme to start a new PSLG programme in the coming Spring Semester 2014/5 are required to submit their EoI on or before 10th January 2015.

Please note that although this scheme is available only to UL's staff and their departments, we also welcome submissions of EoI from staff and departments in any of the Shannon Consortium partner institutes who are interested in initiating their own PSLG programmes and for which the PSLC will be offering all the services of this piloting scheme.

If you wish to discuss your EoI with us prior to submission and/or obtain more information about this Piloting scheme, please contact the PSLC Manager - James Murphy.
